The synchronous belt is a ring belt with steel wire rope or glass fiber as the strong layer and polyurethane or chloroprene rubber as the outer layer. The inner circumference of the belt is made into tooth shape to mesh with the toothed pulley. Synchronous belt transmission, accurate transmission ratio, small force on the shaft, compact structure, oil resistance, good wear resistance, anti-aging performance, generally used at -20 degrees C - 80 C, v< 50m/s, P< 300kW, i< 10, for synchronous transmission, it can also be used for low speed transmission.
The synchronous belt drive is composed of a ring belt with equidistant teeth on the inner surface and a belt pulley with corresponding teeth. During operation, the belt teeth mesh with the teeth of the belt pulley to transmit motion and power. It is a new type of belt drive which combines the advantages of belt drive and chain drive gear drive.
Precautions for installation and use of synchronous belt and wheel:
Reduce the center distance of the belt pulley. If there is a tension wheel, loosen it first and then adjust the center distance after installing the belt. For the transmission with fixed center distance, the belt pulley shall be removed first, and then the belt pulley shall be installed on the pulley, and then the pulley shall be fixed on the shaft.
Attention should also be paid to the following points during installation:
① When installing the synchronous belt, if the center distance of the two pulley can be moved, shorten the center distance of the belt pulley first, and then reset the center distance after installing the synchronous belt. If there is a tension wheel, first loosen the tension wheel, then install the synchronous belt, and then install the tension wheel.
② When installing the synchronous belt on the belt pulley, do not use too much force or pry the synchronous belt with a screwdriver to prevent the tensile layer in the synchronous belt from breaking in appearance. When designing the belt pulley, it is suggested to select the structure that the two shafts can move closer to each other. If it is not allowed in the structure, it is suggested to install the synchronous belt and pulley on the corresponding shaft together.
③ Control the appropriate initial tension.
④ In the synchronous belt drive, the parallelism of the two pulley axes is required to be high, otherwise the synchronous belt will deviate or even jump out of the pulley. The non parallel axis will also cause uneven pressure and early wear of belt teeth.
⑤ The frame supporting the pulley should have enough rigidity, otherwise the two axes of the pulley will not be parallel when the password lock is running.
